For those who entrust me to walk with them on their journey towards healing, I offer a holistic approach to therapy, believing that in order to heal we must not only focus on the mind, but the body and spirit as well. With an emphasis on somatic approaches to therapy, I hold the belief that when we experience traumatic or stressful life events, the thoughts, emotions, and bodily sensations that arise as a result of the event get stuck in our body. This can result in emotional, psychological and even physical pain that will remain in the body until the individual is able to process it effectively. When you have someone to support you through this, incredible healing is possible. Processing may include Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR) or Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR). Ego State Therapy and Internal Family Systems (IFS) can also be used to heal the protective and wounded parts of ourselves. Incorporating meditation, mindfulness, self-compassion and movement, such as yoga, alongside therapy can not only help enrich your inner life, but also support the healing process.
I work with individuals who have experienced trauma, including PTSD, generational, complex, or medical trauma. I also work with individuals with Diabetes and adults with ADHD, anxiety and depression.
I am an intuitive therapist with a calm and gentle presence. I provide a safe space for all. I believe that everyone has the capacity within themselves to heal if provided the right tools and support.
